Hi Everyone,
I am so excited! It has been one year since I started this blog (well, one year and two days).
So much has changed since I started Fabulous Perks. I honestly didn't know what to expect. I have learned so much and made so many new bloggy friends. Before I go on, I would like to send a very special thank you to Missy May, Cookie & Raych for being my 1st three followers that never missed any of my blog posts. You are all amazing and I appreciate all the love and positive feedbacks.
I am a little disappointed to have under 100 followers, but I have to admit I wasn't consistent. I wasn't putting in the necessary hours needed to be a successful blogger. I also struggled with self-doubt. :/ I don't know why I do it, but I do! I can be really hard on myself and my pictures sometimes.
I guess I tend to forget that I am not a professional and my pictures are not going to come out perfect all the time. Half the time it's just me and my tripod out there. I don't have anyone telling me my hair is out of place, or my skirt is twisted or I have lipstick on my teeth. (Lol, I never had a shoot where I found lipstick on my teeth, but you get what I am trying to say) It's not easy being a fashion blogger. I want things to be perfect all the time!
I gave birth since I started this blog. (My first blog post here) When I gave birth, my son became my main focus. I have learned how to manage my time to make time for what it is I love to do. BLOGGING! :)

ReplyDeleteI shouldn't worry about having less than 100 GFC followers because for some reason Google Friend Connect hasn't been working too well lately. Every time I try to follow someone, I get an error. So I usually try and follow them a different way. Twitter, Bloglovin, Google + etc.

I started blogging in 2010 and consistently had 0 comments and 0 followers and that never stopped me. I still don't have a clue what I am doing to this day......I just write from the heart.

I ask because I know some high schools have fashion clubs and they are eager to get written about. Best wishes for many more years doing what you love!
