Growing Through the Pause

Tuesday, February 17, 2026

HIYAAAY, It’s been exactly two years and one month since my last update… which is actually wild. Like who disappears for 25 months and then pops back up like nothing happened? Apparently me. 😂 Two years. 25 months. Same date. No planning. I guess I really commit to dramatic exits and perfectly timed returns. 😂

I’ve wanted to come on here and spill my heart out so many times, but whew… it has not been easy. The fact that I felt randomly pulled to post today, only to realize it’s the exact anniversary of my last one? Very main-character energy. Very “God said calendar reminder.”

Life update: I’ve still been taking personal orders (because we don’t just *turn off* couture), but I did take a step back from Melesia Robinson Couture as a full force operation. The truth? The fashion industry is brutal. Not “Devil Wears Prada” cute brutal. I mean character-building, ego-humbling, scar-collecting brutal. And baby, I’ve been carrying a few too many emotional sequins that need healing.

I was this close to diving all the way back in for fashion season. I even tried to force myself into it. Waking up at 5am. Praying. Playing motivational sermons. Acting like discipline was going to override exhaustion. It did not.

And as much as I know this is what I’m meant to do, I also know I can’t go back in the same way. I refuse to repeat the same draining cycle just because it looks productive from the outside. Growth for me right now looks like balance — not burnout disguised as ambition.

So I’m still here. Still designing. Still called. Just healing smarter this time. ✨

I have so much to get done while balancing personal life, mom life, and wife life. Whew. The layers?? It’s giving onion. No wonder I’m burnt out — I’m juggling roles like I applied for them.

On top of that, I’ve been quietly working on another planner 👀 and I plan to release it in a few weeks. I’m not even going to fake humble this… I’m really proud of this one. Like proud-proud. I already know it’s going to shift some lives in the best way. My next post might just be about that because baby… it deserves its own spotlight.

And honestly? I want to shake things up on this blog. I think it’s time it becomes my public journal — unfiltered, evolving, layered, all of it. If you’re still here and actually looking forward to what’s next, drop a comment so I know it’s real.

Alright, ttyl 💋

Outfit Details:

Styling a Fashion Nova top and shorts set with a Diesel bag, Zara jacket, and Amazon boots and sunglasses. A high-low street style look mixing affordable fashion with designer accessories.

Today’s look is the perfect mix of high-low fashion and effortless street style. I styled a Fashion Nova two-piece set (top and shorts) with a statement Diesel bag for that designer edge. To layer the look, I added a structured Zara jacket, which instantly elevates the outfit and gives it that polished feel.

For accessories, I kept it chic and practical with Amazon boots and Amazon sunglasses — proof that affordable finds can still deliver a luxe aesthetic. Mixing accessible brands like Fashion Nova and Amazon with a designer Diesel bag creates a balanced outfit that feels both trendy and timeless.

If you love combining affordable fashion with statement pieces, this look is definitely one to recreate.

PS: I LOVE YOU!
