Hey Everyone,
I hope you all are having a fantastic day! Hubby and I have been debating whether or not if we should go vegan. Last year we gave up eating pork. It was so hard for us because we are a huge fan of jerked pork. With all of the dangers associated with unhealthy GMO food on our supermarket shelves, we've decided to challenge ourselves to follow a diet of organic vegetables, fruits and fish for a week. Wish us luck!
Ingredients
1 Can of Grace coconut milk
2 Hands full of Kale Mix (Kale, Chard, Spinach)
1 1/2 cups chopped pineapple
2 Ripe banana, chopped
4 Cubes of Ice
Directions
Combine the coconut milk, the kale mix, pineapple, banana and Ice in a blender and puree until smooth, about 1 minute. You are free to add water to reach the desired consistency. (I didn't add any water)
I made this for breakfast and it was delicous

That sounds really good - and even better, it's healthy! The color leaves a little to be desired I think lol, but other than that it sounds good.
ReplyDeleteI am not much into smoothie type drinks--I prefer eating my salad as salad not a drink. This is a very interesting combination-of course being allergic to bananas I would have to leave that out if I were to try it.
ReplyDeleteI love the fruit and kale combo. I tried a Dr. Oz recipe that was also quite nice.
ReplyDeleteExcuse me while I EW. lol. I am not a fan of veggies but I do know someone who would LOVE this recipe. He is big on veggies and smoothies. Anything that is good for his body actually. I will definitely pass this along. :D
ReplyDeleteI've been hearing such good things about juicing and making healthy smoothies with fruits and veggies.

ReplyDeletei miss our family smoothies! We lost our blender to Haiyan, and we don't have electricity. What I would do to have a glass of that!
